British Car Week Saturday

Everything was set for a perfect day - had it not been for the rain!

The British Car Week celebrations in Gothenburg ended at the Tjolöholm Classic on Suturday May 27th. For the first time the British Car Clubs were gathered at one site and the many car makeswere exhibited side by side. Several hundred of the 600 exhibited cars were British.
The arrangements were better then ever with lots of family stuff to attract not only the car lovers.
There were heavy skies early in the morning this day, and when the exhibition started it also started to rain. This heavy rain continued all day.
Of the expected 8000 visitors only 700 showed up, making this arrangement a big loss.
The Rover Club of Sweden exhibited three Rover P6 and Lars Göran Karlsson's Rover 12 from 1946. Next year, with a bit better weather, there will be more Rovers, more British cars - and more visitors!

Tomas Börjeson

Lars Göran Karlsson's Rover P3 from 1946, Tomas Börjeson's 2200TC from 1975, Lars Johansson's 3500 and Lars Malmberg's 2000 TC from 1972. Behind the Rovers GMHK (Gothenburg Motor Historic Club) with lots of British cars.

The Morris Minor Club showed some very fine cars with caravans.
